What is caving?

It is the activity of visiting underground caves and caverns. The aim is to discover the natural cavities of the earth. Among the categories to be practised, there is volcanic caving, which specialises in discovering the caves and caverns of the earth. 

What do I need to go caving in Tenerife?

  • You need to book in advance.
  • Specialised footwear is required, preferably hiking boots.
  • Specialised equipment such as helmets, headlamps, ropes and harnesses.
 

How difficult is it to go caving in Tenerife?

In Tenerife you can go caving in the Cueva del Viento and it is of medium difficulty. It is therefore not recommended for children under 5 years of age. The route lasts a total of 2 hours, including the journey in the vehicle.
