You have at your disposal everything you need to do your swimming training in two phases:

  • Dry phase: A warm-up room and apparatus.
  • Aquatic phase: the swimming pool.

Can I rent training equipment (e.g. swimming boards, fins) at the facilities?

Many facilities in Tenerife, especially in sports centres and clubs, offer the possibility of renting basic equipment such as fins, pull-buoys and swimming boards. If you plan to use specific equipment on a regular basis, it is advisable to bring your own. Some facilities also offer rental programmes for those who only train occasionally. However, we recommend that you contact the centre where you will be swimming or practising the sport and ask for advice.

Are there swimming, water polo or synchronised swimming competitions in Tenerife?

Tenerife hosts numerous annual competitions in swimming, water polo and synchronised swimming, both locally and internationally. Some of the most important events include water polo competitions organised by the Canarian Swimming Federation, synchronised swimming competitions (at regional, national or international level), and swimming championships in both Olympic and indoor pools.
