Tradition Day in Chirche

The Day of Traditions is held each year on the second weekend of July in the picturesque village centre of Chirche (Guía de Isora). There, its residents, decked out in typical clothing from the mid-20th Century, recreate the most typical scenes from rural life of the time: work in the fields, the fountains, washing clothes in what was known as the “lisas del barranco”, the coal bunkers, the preparation and baking of bread, among others.
