Traditional Threshing in El Tanque
Cereal threshing was a deeply-rooted tradition all over the Island, especially in El Tanque. Many types of grain were farmed there, to the extent that the municipality came to have more than 300 threshing floors. It usually takes place on the third Saturday in July. The event includes a variety of workshops, discussions, folklore performances, photography contests, exhibitions and a delicious Canarian lunch.
