La Constitución Park

This charming little park stands in the city of La Laguna, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. It has a recently revamped area with a duck pond and children's playgrounds.

Its gardens house the monument erected in memory of the Cuban poet José Martí, the son of Tenerife's Leonor Pérez, and another in memory of the Venezuelan liberator Simón Bolivar, whose ancestors were also from the Canaries.

To finish off your tour, a visit to the Camino Largo path just by the park makes for a worthwhile walk under the shade of its Canarian palm trees (Phoenix canariensis).

Opening hours: Permanently open. All year round.
Entrance price: Free.
