Ycoden - Daute - Isora

The Designation of Origin of Ycoden-Daute-Isora produces clear, bright whites and rosés with a powerful bouquet and the unmistakable taste of fresh grapes. Its whites are dry, with a distinct pale yellow colour, blending sweet and acid sensations on the palate. Its malvasia wines have golden hues with fruity and floral bouquets produced from overripe grapes that convey sweet and acid notes. The region's freshest wines are its rosés, with strawberry and pineapple touches that give them a tropical flavour. The reds made under the D.O. Ycoden-Daute-Isora present violet hues, an intense red berry bouquet with a lovely after-taste that is expressive and long-lasting, particularly when aged in the barrel.

This D.O. comes from the north-western-most point in Tenerife and its wines are the legacy of the ancient "Canary" wines that achieved such great popularity in centuries past. The land is rugged, of ancient volcanic origin and highly fertile, with a mild, fresh climate that particularly favours the grape varieties of Listán Blanca and Listán Negra.
