Building with the Municipal Library sign in Tenerife, two brown wooden doors.

Municipal Library

This building has housed the municipal archives for three decades and is over 200 years old. During its history, it has been used as a prison, a town hall, an infant school and an academy. In 1953, a middle school replaced the prison and the first council offices, and after some financial ups-and-downs, the building took on its cultural role as the municipal library.
